Marketing Advisory
The marketing question on your desk, answered the same working day.
A private room for chief executives, founders and owners running a business with no senior marketer in-house. Ask the question you would rather not put to your agency. Rene answers it himself, and nothing is sold inside.
Free. By application. Fifty seats.

Why it exists
Every marketing answer you get comes from somebody selling you the answer.
The agency recommends the thing the agency sells. The platform recommends spending on the platform. The conference recommends whatever its sponsors do. A business leader without a senior marketer in-house has no one to ask who does not want something.
So this room has one rule that makes the rest of it work. Nothing is sold inside. You ask what is actually on your desk, and you get the answer a senior marketer would give a friend, including the answer that says do nothing for now.
What a seat gets you
Four things, and no fifth thing.
An answer the same working day
Ask between 10 and 5 UK time and the answer comes back that day. A concrete promise, rather than one about responding quickly.
One live call a month
First Wednesday, 16:00 to 17:00 London, from 7 October. Recorded for members who cannot make it, and never published anywhere else.
Rene, rather than a queue
Every reply is written by him. No junior account manager, no assistant drafting on his behalf, which is the reason the room is capped.
Nothing sold inside
No pitch, no proposal, no follow-up sequence. If you ever want to hire B2B Engine you know where the website is, and the answer you get here does not depend on it.
Who gets in
A small room, kept small on purpose.
Who it is for
Chief executives, founders, owners and managing directors of business-to-business companies, where nobody senior owns marketing full time. You might have a marketing manager, an agency, or both.
Who it is not for
Agencies, consultants, freelancers and software vendors. A room where suppliers can reach the buyers stops being useful to the buyers within a week, so those applications are declined.
What it costs
Nothing, now or later. There is no paid tier above it and no upgrade to sell you into, which is what keeps the advice straight.
FAQ
Questions, answered.
Why is it free?
Because it makes B2B Engine better at the job. Fifty leaders bringing real decisions is the best market research available, and some of them will hire us in a year or two. Charging for the room would change what people ask.
What happens after I apply?
Rene reads the application and replies personally. If there is a seat and you fit, the invitation follows with the joining link. If the room is full, he says so rather than leaving you waiting.
How much of my time does it take?
As little as you want. Some members ask one question a month and read the rest. Nothing is expected of you, and nobody is removed for being quiet.
What sort of questions get asked?
The ones with money attached. Whether an agency proposal is worth signing, why the pipeline went quiet, what to do about a competitor outranking you, whether to hire a marketing lead or keep outsourcing.
Will my competitors be in there?
Possibly, and you will be able to see who is. Applications are read one at a time, so tell Rene if there is a company you would rather not sit alongside and he will work around it.
Apply for a seat
Five short questions, about a minute. The last one is the one that matters, and the more specific you are, the more useful the first answer will be.
